My ISP is blocking Port 25!

This setting is only needed if your ISP currently blocks access to port 25 unless you are using their SMTP servers. MaximumASP now supports connection via SMTP on port 587 or 465 for clients using our shared mail servers. To configure your outlook client for this access
  1. From your outlook client, select Tools/Account Settings
  2. Click modify next to your MaximumASP account settings
  3. Select the more settings option, then the advanced tab
  4. Under server port settings, modify Outgoing server “SMTP”, you will be changing this from 25 to 587 or 465
  5. Make sure that on the outgoing server tab the “my outgoing SMTP server requires authentication box is checked and set to “use same settings as my incoming mail server”
  6. Hit ok , then apply. Your outlook client will now connect to our SMTP server on the alternate port 587 or 465 to process outgoing mail.
