How to determine if CSR created was for a 40 or 128 bit cert

If you created a CSR and don't recall if you changed it to generate a 128-bit certificate (512 -> 1024 bit length CSR), then this is an easy way to tell the difference. Open the CSR in notepad, and look at the beginning of it for these differences:

512 Bit CSR (for 40-Bit certificate)
-----BEGIN NEW CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----
MIIC...

1024 Bit CSR (for 128-Bit certificate)
-----BEGIN NEW CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----
MIID...
